Not a restoration project, this car is original and in near new, factory condition. It was on display at a Florida classic car museum for several years and went through a $10k professional "detailing" a month before I bought it in May, 2005. The detailing involved inspection of all mechanical and cosmetic components, replacing anything even slightly worn using only authentic GM parts. The detailing included new suspension components, bushings and an accurate exhaust system duplication from a California company that specializes in reproducing original GM and MoPar exhausts. Cooker Redlines were installed to duplicate the original tire type used. A true GTO (not a LeMans clone), it's powered by a 400 ci, single four barrel engine ('66 was the last year for the problematic 389 "tri-power" setup although a few '67s were dealer equipped with tri-power). Factory options on this car include a manual, close ratio 4 speed transmission, Hurst shifter, posi-traction, rally wheels, pin striping and an AM radio. It is also equipped with power steering, power brakes and factory, in dash tachometer. Car sounds, runs and drives like new. First offer over $30k buys it. Located in Duxbury, Massachusetts.
